Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, blanch the green beans for about 4-5 minutes until they’re bright green but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Add in the blanched green beans and half of the French fried onions into the mixture, stirring until everything is well-coated.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and French fried onions on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
Serve warm with extra fried onions on top. This dish pairs perfectly with turkey and is a staple for holiday feasts. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
