Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and cut
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 cup French fried onions divided
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot of boiling salted water, blanch the green beans for about 4-5 minutes until they’re bright green but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Add in the blanched green beans and half of the French fried onions into the mixture, stirring until everything is well-coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and French fried onions on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

Serve warm with extra fried onions on top. This dish pairs perfectly with turkey and is a staple for holiday feasts. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
