Ingredients
  

Pastry and Filling
  • 1 roll rectangular puff pastry Store-bought or homemade
  • 200 g cream cheese or Mascarpone
  • 150 g fresh strawberries, cut into small pieces
  • 50 g powdered sugar Plus a little for decoration
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg beaten, for brushing
  • Granulated sugar as needed, for crispy topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  2. Unroll the puff pastry and cut it into squares or rectangles of equal size.
  3. In the center of each square, place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture and add fresh strawberry pieces on top.
  4. Fold the pastry over the filling to form a parcel and seal the edges with a fork if desired.
  5. Brush the surface with beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Baking
  1. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees C for about 15 to 20 minutes until golden and puffed.
  2. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

These parcels can be served warm or at room temperature. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for indulgence. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat to regain crispiness.
