Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until light and fluffy, about three minutes.
  2. Gradually mix in the sweetened condensed milk and continue to beat for two minutes until combined.
  3. Scrape down the sides of the bowl, and beat for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Add the flour and baking powder, and beat until just incorporated.
  5. Gently fold in any personal additions like chocolate chips or nuts, if desired.
  6. Using a cookie scoop, portion the dough into small mounds on a lined baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 320°F (160°C) and bake for about 12 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
  2. Allow to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  3. Dust the cooled snowballs with confectioners' sugar before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed with tea or coffee; can be frozen for longer storage. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
