Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cups warm milk Make sure the milk is warm but not hot.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter Melted
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast Can substitute with instant yeast.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4-5 cups all-purpose flour Add flour until a soft dough forms.
  • 1 each egg

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, salt, and egg to the mixture. Stir to combine.
  3. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  6. Punch down the dough and divide it into small balls.
  7. Place the balls onto a greased baking pan, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Brush with melted butter before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with soups, salads, or spreads like honey butter or jam. To store leftover rolls, place them in a plastic bag or an airtight container. Keep them at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week. Freeze for up to 3 months.
