Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 cup chocolate biscuits
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup ground almonds
For the Filling
  • 500 g cream cheese Use room temperature for easier mixing
  • 200 g Toblerone chocolate bar, melted Melt gently over a bain-marie
  • 1/2 cup thickened cream
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine biscuit crumbs, melted butter, and ground almonds in a bowl.
  2. Press the mixture into the base of a lightly greased slice tin or springform pan.
  3. Chill the base.
Filling
  1. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese for 2 minutes or until smooth.
  2. Add caster sugar, melted Toblerone chocolate, and thickened cream; continue beating until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture onto the prepared base.
  4. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours until set, or overnight.
  5. Serve topped with chocolate shavings.

Notes

Serve chilled with a dollop of whipped cream and a side of strong coffee or milk. For a summery twist, pair with fresh berries.
