Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a 9x13 inch pan with foil.
- Place a single layer of Saltine crackers in the pan.
Cooking
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and dark brown sugar. Stir and bring to a rolling boil for 3 minutes.
- Pour the mixture over the crackers and bake for 7 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot cracker base. Spread the melting chocolate evenly.
Setting
- Chill in the refrigerator until set, then break into pieces and enjoy.
Notes
Make sure to line the pan with foil for easy removal. Watch the butter and sugar mixture closely to avoid burning it. Customize the chocolate by using milk or white chocolate for a different taste.
